Paul Mitchell

Paul Mitchell is a professional member of the SCSI and is Director and co-Founder of Mitchell McDermott Construction Consultants. Paul and Anthony McDermott set up Mitchell McDermott at the beginning of 2015 and the business has gone from strength to strength since then, currently employing 30 people with further growth underway into 2018.

 Paul’s career has spanned 20+ years, most of which was spent at Davis Langdon with two years spent in San Francisco for Davis Langdon Adamson. Shortly after the business was acquired by AECOM, Paul became Head of Ireland for Cost and Project Management in Ireland whilst also sitting on the UK / Ireland Board for a period with a remit to expand services in mainland Europe.

 Paul has a wide range of experience in the Public and Private sector including a number of specialisms most notably in Financial Modelling of development projects and Construction Law holding a post graduate qualification from Trinity College.

Paul chaired the ‘The Real Costs of Apartment Delivery’ working group and co-authored the report that was published in October 2017.
